Fraud Alert

Dear Exhibitors,

We would like to draw our exhibitors’ attention to the practices of certain companies which, although in no way affiliated with our Group, may contact you as Deauville Preshow exhibitors offering to publish an entry listing your company in a business events directory or guide.

The ambiguous presentation of these solicitations, particularly the use of the organizer’s name ETAI and/or the event name Deauville Preshow, may give the impression:
  • that this correspondence comes from ETAI;
  • or that it is merely a request to verify your contact details for a directory in which you believe you are already listed, since the sender already has your main identification details;
  • and that the proposed listing is free of charge.
This is absolutely not the case. In reality, these documents constitute a paid subscription for a listing in a guide that is entirely unrelated to ETAI’s activities and is generally published by third-party companies, often based abroad.
We strongly encourage you to read these proposals very carefully and to investigate the companies submitting them before signing anything, as your signature may legally bind you to pay for the listing, often for a fixed period of three years.
Our company cannot under any circumstances be held liable for any payment claims made against you by such companies in connection with a listing request you may have signed.

Furthermore, we have been informed that some of you have recently received emails accompanied by a form or message indicating non-payment of your deposit or an error in the original bank details. These messages invite you to make a transfer to an account whose IBAN appears in the body of the email or as an attachment.

These messages do not originate from the Deauville Preshow team or from the Infopro Digital group to which we belong.

We wish to assure you that no data breach has been detected and that the security of our clients’ information remains fully guaranteed.
Please remain vigilant regarding the origin of emails and ensure that they genuinely come from our services. We urge you to exercise the utmost caution with this type of solicitation: any payment you make or any document you sign is solely your responsibility, and any financial loss resulting from such actions will remain entirely at your own expense.

If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us — our team is at your disposal to assist you.

Kind regards,
The Deauville Preshow Team
